Plato's Republic was the final nail in the coffin for me. It convinced me there's nothing especially rational about Western philosophy.
I disagree with this premise.Rationality is overrated. Humanity is by its nature irrational. Just accept it as it is. Simple.
"We will do and we will hear" (Exodus 24:7). Sometimes, you don't understand something until you actually do it. It may seem irrational, or it may even be irrational, but it will nevertheless have meaning once you do it.
I have no logic to this, it's just something I've understood over time, by doing things the traditional ways, and finding in the traditional ways hidden benefits.
Ancient wisdom shouldn't be discarded just because it is illogical. It should be applied and tested first. Sometimes, you'll be surprised what a strange change might make.
