For profit hospitals

Greetings,

Can privately owned, for-profit hospitals deliver medical care for low-income,
rural populations? Or can only the government handle this?  My gut feeling is
no, this requires government intervention.

If you wish to answer, please cite specific examples/case studies, not just
theories. I refuse to consider abstractions, only specific examples will count.
